Another day at the beach, how boring!

Hello,

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Mine was not boring. We had here at the hostel 70 young boys and their parents from believe it or notEton School for boys in Surrey England. It is the same one that Prince William went to and now his brother Harry goes to. I sat and talked to Prince Harrys teacher and her husband who happens to be the head coach of the cricket team in England who by the way lost today to Australia in melborne. It was different. I cooked all morning for these people plus other as well to serve them lunch and had a big barbacue for the evening meal. Lambchops on a grill just does not cut it here with me forChristmas day There are other workers here besides myself all from different countries and all are great people. Tonight we all go out t again to Rubina for a few pints and a dance or to. The other backpackers who are here at the moment are all coming as well. I got through work at 2 walked to the beach and stayed there for 4 hours. There are no box jelly fish, nor crocs nor other bad things in the water here to I can go in for a swim and it is not like Lincolnville beach in Maine either It is actually warm. I did not tell you all about my one and only night in Melbourn. As soon as I walked into the dorm I was greeted by my roomate who happened to sleep under me on the bunk. A few more people joined in and they all came from New Castle England. I knew right away where they were from as no one can understand them and when I lived in England it took me a long while to get used to that accent. I got invited to go with all of them plus a few more people to an outdoor moviein thebotanicalgardens in Melbourn. They had a picinc lunch all set up we just brought the blankets off the beds to sit on., All well and good until it started to become dusk and the fruitbats started flying about. I mean like over 1000 fruit bats all hanging in the trees next to this place we all were. The sky becameblackthey flew over our heads everywhere I put my blanket onmy head hoping they would not leave me a calling card. The move started and it was a foriegn film made in India with Indian people staring with english subtitles. Actually it was quite good and funny as well especially when they were all swearingand to see this on theEnglishtitles. Itwas a good night but I had to be at another place in the am to supposdely to be picked to come here which did not happen. They forgot me so I had to take me my ruck sack which I think now weighs over 50 pounds plus two day packs. Get on a tram get into a raliroad station. Find the right train. Get off that one to get on the one that goes to Frankston. Get a bus from there that says Portsea get off at a jetty road 2 hours later and walk over a mile with all this stuff just to get here. I was not happy. My work is cooking breakfast than just cleaning the hostel changing the beds of the people who left all that nice and good stuff. I plan on taking the ferrie next week to Queenscliff about a 40 minuteride about 20 minute bus ride from here to get the ferrie and have a look around as I think that is where I'll go next for my employment. There is alot of sailing there and bighomesas well might be interesting. I'll end up in Sydney probably sometime in February from there I plan on leaving and flying to Broome and looking at a job right now at one of the cattle stations. They have over a million acres as the ground is so poor but it will give me the chance to ride everyday. From there I'll end up back in Darwin back Sydney a week in Maylasia and hopefully Thailand again. I'll have plenty more adventures before this trip is over and plenty more friends from all over the world. My roommates are fromCanada to it is a great room however they are not from theEast Coast too bad. Have a great New Year leaving now for the pub. Bye Bye

I only have a few miuntes on this thing have to get to town by the beach by the way about an hours walk to the big town called Sorrento and the smaller the other way about 1/2 hour called Rye. The place here is beautiful have two great room mates one from England and the other is from Sweden. I shall be here a month or more depends on how I likeit as I don't have any days off. I start at 7 in the am and get through at 1 pm which gives me time for the beach and horse riding which I plan on doing everyday. I also intend to get my degree here on skydiving so I can go and do it alnoe instead of the tandemjump. The scenry is awsome the beach great miles and miles of it. I plan on doing alot of hiking around as well might as well as walking is the only way around here unless Jude comes over and we can hitch hike again.
